When Mary Matherson moves into her late grandfather’s house in small town northern Wisconsin, she is prepared to deal with the prying locals while digging for clues about her grandfather’s curious death. What she is not prepared for is the veil between the supernatural world practically in her backyard, and the dangers that come with it.
It turns out, Mary is a witch. Her new boyfriend is a demon. The Other world is hard to resist and Mary wants to learn the magic her grandfather kept secret from her.
